#SEXYSNIPPETS

Every Sunday, a group of us sign up at the Nuthouse Scribblers blog and post a sexy snippet: 7 sentences (8 this week for completeness) from a work in progress.

Here’s mine for the week from Exhibition…

She heard him clip the cuffs together above her head. He opened her fingers again, settled something light, smooth and mostly round into the palm of her hand. “Hold onto this apple, if you need to safe-word, just let it fall.”

She felt his finger on her cheekbone and she leaned into it. He drew his finger down and across her clavicle. Random touches still filling in the outline of her body as he made his way, an inch at a time, back down to the bottom of the table and her feet.

Skin tingled with life as he lit her up. It took forever and it took too soon, until it felt like there wasn’t a stretch of skin he hadn’t touched to awaken her body. She was fully corporeal, heavy with expectation.

  1. This is perfect in every way. It is so rich with symbolism, beauty, sensuality and emotion that as a reader I am satisfied with just this snippet but at the same time I am hungry for more. It takes a masterful author to leave a reader both full and empty. I can not wait to read this in full.

  2. Wonderful snippet. I agree with Catherine, the symbolism with the apple is so sensual and really deepens what is underneath! You have a natural ability to create amazing sexual tension and have such a light touch with words. Really masterful, I love it.
