The next bite of wax fell on her tortured nipple. A single splash covering the whole bud, her pleasure splintered into pieces as the wax hardened and pulled tight.

Raw ecstasy tore along her nerves and she hurtled into bliss. Grace was still flying apart from the first orgasm, when another splash fell on the second nipple forcing a second bright burst of pleasure.

Soundless seconds stretched, she wanted to stay there spiraling into the free.

Grace moaned as the world sucked her back and she reluctantly floated down again.

The drops of wax slowly stung their way down Grace’s body. Little bites of pain followed by bursts of hot pleasure. God she wanted to writhe, to chant, to scream…to release.

To move.

The wax splashed onto her mons, trickled between her legs, and this time she did scream and buck. Maybe this was why she spent her life inviting so many to look and so few to touch – it was maddening, it was heaven.

“More Kiki?”

She nodded before he even finished the question.

He pulled away and it was so cold without him. Which made the contrast of what came next all the more shocking.

A stinging heat bit into her wrist and she yelped.

“No moving Kiki,” his voice was thick, husky.

He gave her a moment and then the wax dribbled down her arm again.

Grace mewed but she didn’t move. She knew this game. If you relaxed instead of trying to guess where the next drop would fall, you could somehow turn the sting into a welcome warm and lingering sensation. It blended with her own heat and burned inside her.

It had become impossible to keep still and he was forced to pin her down by the wrist as he finished drawing on her arm.

His knee on the table between her thighs as he leaned over her, pushing up against her, giving sweet friction as she ground her sex against his thigh.

Trembling she rode the only part she had of him between her legs desperately seeking some relief. She was shameless with hedonistic need.

The whole session had been foreplay, the bastard knew what he was doing. He had taken her to the edge and kept her there, teetering.

“Almost done,” he whispered over her skin.

He pulled his thigh away, just before she tumbled over that edge, making her whimper in frustration.

The four chambers of the heart – part I

I fell from a hole in my heart

And you caught me.

A wounded woman, perhaps even broken.

You were right where I needed you to be,

Under the sky as I came plummeting down.

You pulled me so close and tight into your chest,

My ear against your heart.

“Listen.” You said as you stroked my hair

like I was some wild thing curled against you.

I did eventually still.

And as I listened,

the beat lulled away the world.

It beat so slowly it made my shoulders relax,

And the weight of my heart sank right down into yours.

I could breathe in the space between those beats.

I’ve thought a lot about the timing over the years

Like we made a pact in another life that when I broke you would be there

Not to put me back together again

But to show me I had another heart that would fill.

Even now, so many years later

I look at you across the coffee table,

The light from the TV flickering across your face,

You’re just as soft. Just as strong.

I remember the sound of creaking boats in the bath

The sarong you wore as you played guitar and made me brie on toast for breakfast

Your hand still strokes my hair when I fret

And your heart still beats slower than anyone I’ve ever met.
